He is a trusted advisor to corporate executives and business managers at all company levels on a broad range of international trade subjects, particularly customs regulations, but also in trade-related aspects of supply chain management, foreign procurement, outsourcing, international trade agreements, dumping/unfair trade remedies, transfer pricing, taxation, business reorganizations, trade sanctions, import and export controls, counterfeit trade protection, corporate governance and anti-corruption legislation.
Practice focused on helping clients identify their priorities, prevent financial exposure, solve problems and become more competitive globally.
When good proactive planning and compliance efforts are still not able to prevent a disagreement with the authorities, he defends his clients’ interests in dispute settlement proceedings, including court representation. He has successfully represented clients in complex litigation cases on several occasions. He appears regularly at the Canadian International Trade Tribunal and the Federal Court of Appeal.
