Amy Hatfield Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) Trade Compliance Supervisor U.S. CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION Amy Hatfield joined the U.S. Customs Service in 2002 in Detroit, Michigan as an Inspector. She transitioned to an Officer with Customs and Border Protection and then on to Supervisor at the Fort Street Cargo Facility, one of the largest commercial border crossings in the United States before moving to Washington, D.C. in 2012. In Washington, Amy served as the Branch Chief for the Cargo Release policy branch and as the subject matter expert for Import Cargo at the ACE Business Office, now Trade Transformation Office, where she worked on ACE systems like Cargo Release, Manifest, and she wrote the business requirements for the new truck manifest system that is still in development today. In 2019, Amy accepted a position as the Assistant Port Director of Trade at the Washington Dulles International Airport where she served for two years before deciding it was time to move home to Michigan with her family. Amy now works for the CTPAT Trade Compliance division in Washington, D.C. Amy has a bachelor’s degree in business and Information Technology and a master’s certificate in Customs and International Trade Law. She now happily resides back home in Michigan with her two children and two K9 companions.
