Bond Sufficiency & Importer Risk Assessment Under New Legislation
Have you received a bond insufficiency notice for your import bond? Or, worse yet, has CBP deactivated your bond so no entries can be made? CBP performs monthly bond insufficiency reviews of all continuous import bonds and if a bond is egregiously deficient, they will immediately render it insufficient. CBP will also inactivate your bond if they have received returned mail or if they believe your company is linked to another company with unpaid bills.
Under the Informed Compliance rules, importers are responsible for complying with the bond amount guidelines; do you know how to properly calculate your bond amount? Attend this session to learn how you can avoid these situations which can be extremely costly for you. Current bond statistics and other issues related to revenue collection and importer risk assessment will also be reviewed.
